Dr. Cinthia Gannett is the new Director of Core Writing at Fairfield University, a Jesuit comprehensive university in Fairfield, CT as of September 2008. From 2002- 2008, she was Associate Professor of Writing and the Director of the Writing Center and Writing Across the Curriculum Program at Loyola University in Maryland. She went to Loyola from the University of New Hampshire where she helped establish and direct the UNH Writing Center and Writing Across the Curriculum Programs with Dr. Robert Connors. She has taught a wide variety of courses in writing studies:

Introductory and advanced composition
Grammar
Writing pedagogy, journals, and diaries
Writing centers
Civic literacies
Writing across the curriculum
Dr. Gannett is the author of Gender and the Journal (1992) and various articles on diaries, journals, and portfolios, and has been working with writing programs, writing centers, and Writing Across the Curriculum for more than 30 years. In 2007, she co-edited a customized Loyola Writing Handbook with disciplinary style guides contributed from every department with Dr. Peggy O’Neill, Director of First-Year Writing at Loyola University.
